How we research institutions
FAQU.ca provides a curated starting point for researching Canadian post-secondary options—not accreditation services or an exhaustive directory of every institution in Canada.
What Tier 1 means
For each school, researchers documented ten foundational checks. Eight are substantive: recognition, campuses and teaching languages, credential categories, broad study areas, admission pathway, fee structure, work-integrated learning and student supports. Two are evidence quality controls: traceability and explicit disclosure of limitations.
A specific documented example of a placement or service does not mean every student or program has that option. Federated, collaborative and partner-awarded credentials must identify the actual awarding institution.
Limits of direct comparison
- Matched program-by-campus and teaching-language information for all individual programs.
- Comparable tuition totals for the same year, credential, residency status, load and mandatory fees.
- Verified availability and eligibility for co-op, internships, housing, supports and financial aid in every program.
- Independent, representative student experience results. No public ratings, rankings or fabricated survey responses are presented.
How to use the evidence
Read the source and its qualification on the profile page. Check the linked institution or public authority again before making an application, paying tuition, or choosing a program. Source checks were recorded in October 2026; requirements may have changed since.
FAQU.ca is independent and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the institutions listed.
